Dems to challenge Kavanaugh for White House records

President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee is walking into the middle of a political firestorm over his work for President George W. Bush.

Access to paperwork from Brett Kavanaugh’s years as a White House lawyer and staff secretary for Bush has become a lightning rod in the nomination fight.

The issue will take center stage as he sits down with Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) and Sen. Dianne Feinstein (Calif.), the top Democrat on the Judiciary Committee, this week.

Both senators are expected to press Kavanaugh on whether he'll support releasing all of his Bush-era documents, which they say would shed light on what he thinks about controversial matters such as terrorism policy, healthcare and executive authority.

Actor and activist Alyssa Milano spent her Sunday protesting President Donald Trump's pick for Supreme Court, Brett Kavanaugh, wearing a Handmaid's Tale-style red and white outfit to make her point.

Milano posted a photo to social media of herself sporting the signature red cloak and white bonnet worn by handmaids in the popular novel-turned-TV series, while carrying a sign that read: "Never Kavanaugh, never Gilead" at a protest in Phoenix, Arizona.

Gilead refers to the fictitious Republic of Gilead regime that rises to power in the U.S. and forces fertile women, called "handmaids" into becoming child-bearers for the infertile elite in the dystopian story.

10. Dems need to say "Kavanaugh is hiding something very dark and dangerous in his records."

This will be more effective than any amount of complaints about his actual positions that might be in those records.
