Former CIA Director John Brennan said Sunday he's willing to consider legal action against the Trump administration to block the president from revoking other officials' security clearances.
Brennan said on NBC's "Meet the Press" that several lawyers have contacted him to discuss the possibility of filing a complaint against the White House after it revoked his security clearance last week.
"If my clearances and my reputation as Im being pulled through the mud now, if thats the price were going to pay to prevent Donald Trump from doing this against other people, to me its a small price to pay," Brennan said.
"Im going to do whatever I can personally to try to prevent these abuses in the future and if it means going to court, I will do that," he added.

Brennan defends criticism of Trump: 'I dont believe Im being political at all'
BY BRETT SAMUELS - 08/19/18 11:17 AM EDT
Former CIA Director John Brennan on Sunday defended his fierce criticisms of President Trump -- including calling his actions "treasonous" -- saying he doesn't believe he's being political.
Brennan said on NBC's "Meet the Press" that he has "seen the lights blinking red. I think I need to speak out," Brennan said.
"I dont believe Im being political at all," he continued. "Im not a Republican, Im not a Democrat, and many members of the Congress over the years who have security clearances have spoken out rather forcefully against whoever was in the Oval Office if they werent from the same political party.
"So now as a private citizen theyre telling me that I shouldnt do that?" he added. "Im sorry, I just fundamentally disagree with that."

(7,888 posts)the Honorable Mr. Brennan. The courts are the last line of defense against a tyrant when decent men and women fear retribution.
We stand on the precipice of justice and honor, or criminal occupation by a fool.

(7,888 posts)I am in it for the long game. We can not restore democracy and the courts by casting doubts, imo.

(16,104 posts)on our elections and our democracy - and saying you see no reason why you shouldn't believe HIM over our US intelligence - is "treasonous' in the sense that it is a betrayal of the American people and our institutions.
"Treason" is a description of a behavior, not a formal criminal charge. Same as "collusion."
Snowflakes.
What would they do if someone called the Dotard something like a Muslim Kenyan?
