White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow on Sunday said Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is overreacting to the Trump administrations decision to impose steel and aluminum tariffs on Canada.
To say that this is an attack on Canada is not right, Kudlow told Fox News Sunday.
I think hes overreacting. I dont want to get into the middle of that.
Trudeau last week slammed the Trump administrations decision, calling the tariffs an affront to the historic alliance between the two nations.

(23,946 posts)America only produces 15% of aluminum consumed, with Canada providing the plurality of the shortfall?
It will take years and years to ramp up domestic production, if ever...in the meantime, here comes inflation! Not to mention huge increases in prices on cars, homes (timber) and al manner of ag. products.
Crowing about the economy one day, as it exists, and then trying to dismantle the very status quo that has made that economy...the logic is sad...Trudeau is 💯 percent right...
...as he said, WTF, eh?

(11,558 posts)...first of all, HOW is he in any position of responsibility or influence whatsoever. Second, if the only thing you knew about this situation is that Kudlow is saying this, the way to bet is that Trudeau is right. At least about something.

(6,543 posts)Talk about a bunch of clueless, worthless people. Someone never taught them that you can't make decisions for others. Only the person in the situation has that right.

(6,831 posts)Who said in 2002 that the invasion of Iraq would be a huge boost for the American economy ?
Who said in 2005 that there was no housing bubble and that anyone who thought so was "dead wrong." ?
Who said in 2007 that "There is no recession coming." ?
Who said in 2015 that "Unemployment makes people not want to work." ?
And I could go on, but you get the picture.
Has this man EVERY said anything about the economy that was correct ??
