Trump Chides McMaster For Saying Evidence Of Russian Interference 'Incontrovertible'

Source: NPR

President Trump chided his national security adviser on Sunday, tweeting H.R. McMaster "forgot to say that the results of the 2016 election were not impacted or changed by the Russians."

McMaster said on Saturday that it is now "incontrovertible" Russia interfered in the 2016 election.

McMaster, who spoke a day after a federal grand jury indicted more than a dozen Russians in connection with the interference, was addressing an international audience at the Munich Security Conference, including several Russian officials.

"As you can see with the F.B.I. indictment, the evidence is now really incontrovertible and available in the public domain, whereas in the past it was difficult to attribute," he said.

4. and Pence gets his lie in, too

From the article:

Pence told Axios on Wednesday, "irrespective of efforts that were made in 2016 by foreign powers, it is the universal conclusion of our intelligence communities that none of those efforts had any effect on the outcome of the 2016 election."

But as former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper told NPR, "The intelligence community has neither the authority nor the capability to make such a judgment as to whether there was or was not impact on the election. And we did not say that."

I get dizzy from the desperate spinning.

5. It is playing out like this:

1) Trump/GOP We never talked to the Russians.

2) Trump/GOP Well, we talked to the Russians but not about the elections.

3) Trump/GOP Well, we talked to the Russians and it was about the elections.

4) Trump/GOP Well, we talked to the Russians about the elections but they didn't
tamper with the vote.

5) Trump/GOP Well, we talked to the Russians about the elections and they did try
to tamper with the vote but it didn't effect the outcome of the elections.

And next up will be
6) Trump/GOP Well, we talked to the Russians about the elections, they did try
to tamper with the vote with Trump/GOP/Cambridge Analytica help, and it effected
the outcome.

You had an addendum to that in the other thread -- Hillary used A SERVER!

All things lead to Hillary and Obama, somehow. It's a moebius strip of deflection.

7. Axios again. something fishy imho

such big words.

McMaster could have said

Russia spent $1.2 million or more meddling with the 2016 election.

6. There is no incontrovertible evidence

that Russian meddling changed the outcome of our election. There is no incontrovertible evidence that Russian meddling didn't affect the outcome of the election.

As a matter of fact, there is no incontrovertible evidence that Russia didn't flip votes and hack into our voting machines. How many voting machines were independently audited after the election? I'm pretty sure the answer to that question is that there weren't any voting machines audited.

We need to go back to paper ballots now. When exit polls don't come close to vote tallies, something got hacked.

12. This traffic can be measured and tracked...

most data calls (or modulated calls) have a digital footprint that can actually be used to verify that a Russian host of some kind talked to an American host of some kind. IP addresses on both ends as well as intermediate paths (calls routed thru multiple data and communications networks in getting the call established). Have to. The data and communications networks are in a virtual world, w/ IPs mapped as to where and so forth.

Billing systems (and network control systems) track for various reasons, so data is there. Proof.
