Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) on Saturday hit back at President Trump after the president defended his decision to block the release of a memo from Democrats on the House Intelligence Committee.

His tweet came after Trump asserted earlier in the day that Democrats "knew" their memo would have to be heavily redacted due to its sources and methods.

"The Democrats sent a very political and long response memo which they knew, because of sources and methods (and more), would have to be heavily redacted, whereupon they would blame the White House for lack of transparency," Trump tweeted.

"Told them to re-do and send back in proper form!"

I think The Hill article has a little mistake at the end.

Trump has claimed the memo "totally vindicates" himself in the ongoing Russia probe.

Didn't he actually tweet "totally vindicates 'Trump'"? That habit of referencing himself in 3rd person is significant. I seem to recall he did it in the tweet referenced.
