Trump frustrated with Hicks' role in Porter scandal

Washington (CNN) - President Donald Trump has grown increasingly frustrated with Hope Hicks, his communications director and one of his closest confidantes, amid the fallout from the Rob Porter scandal, people familiar with the matter say.

Meanwhile, the President has told associates he's dismayed at how the allegations involving his former staff secretary accused of domestic abuse were handled, but he isn't certain how to solve the mushrooming controversy, a person familiar with the conversations tells CNN.

Trump was not consulted when Hicks and several other aides drafted a White House statement defending Porter, and he is under the impression that Hicks has let her romantic relationship with Porter cloud her judgment, a source familiar said.

In the aftermath, Trump has told associates he feels that Hicks put her own priorities ahead of his. However, there is little to indicate that Hicks' standing is in jeopardy.

2. Hmmm. Someone else is always responsible, never Trump

Trump knew or should have known that Porter did not have a security clearance and kept him on, while he handled top secret materials.

4. "Hicks put her own priorities ahead of his"

Any normal person would have said
"Hicks put her own priorities ahead of the country's"
or
"Hicks put her own priorities ahead of doing her job".

But, we have a narcissistic egomaniac in charge. So of course.
I don't think anybody really knows what his priorities are except to try to make himself look good. So that would mean everyone's job in government is to make him look good.
Given the evidence, sounds about right.

6. He's only upset at the bad press he's receiving.

Had the story never gotten out, he couldn't have cared less.

8. Well, hopefully this will unravel nicely with Hicks feeling slighted and perhaps

more likely to open up when the opportunity presents itself.

18. Presenting....opportunity. She is scheduled to meet with Mueller.

I would love to be a fly on the wall. she has been with Trump nearly every day, no matter where he goes, and not only has seen and heard incriminating stuff, but has been involved herself in covering up things.

10. I think he's just upset that his concubine was messing around with someone else.

Donnie's made to look the fool, and Donnie doesn't LIKE looking the fool.

I would love to see the texts between Porter and Hicks...

"Don't worry sweetheart, the old man can't even rise to the occasion any more. He just THINKS I'm into him...HAHAHAHAHA"

12. The Trump White House must be the most sick work environment

imaginable.

I know that I have, and I am sure many here have as well, worked in environments that could be labeled "sick" workplaces. Workplaces with bosses and supervisors who were bullies, liars, harassers, control freaks, ass kissers, micro-managers...you name it. This White House seems to have brought every single negative personality type and put them all in one place.

When he said he was going to clean the swamp he didn't tell us that he was bringing them all to work with him.

13. He expected and demanded loyalty

...and he is frustrated he didn't get it. He couldn't care less that his duty is to appoint the best people he can for the jobs he picks hacks for.
It is time to change the locks on the White House next time he visits one of his golf courses and we need to revoke the passes of all the imbeciles and criminals that Trump has appointed. I wish!

20. Is Trump aware of ANYTHING that's going on around him?

He claims ignorance of every controversy that happens under his watch. He's the antithesis of a leader, taking credit for all "successes" while feigning unawareness when the shit hits the fan.

I guess a 24/7 propaganda machine buys you a whole lot of undeserved admiration.
