(58 posts)He's done nothing but wreck our economy with his moronic "austerity" economic policies. During a brutal recession, when businesses aren't spending money and are hoarding it instead, the government needs to step in and try to fill the gap with its own spending. Instead, Governor Flintstone cuts state government jobs and imposes mandatory budget cuts on local government in the state, forcing THEM to lay off workers too. Genius!! How did that not work, I wonder?

(13,570 posts)"speaks his mind" (or in other words is gruff, rude, and has to tact) and maybe that style works in NJ. We have a similar asshat up here in Maine who acts like Christie and tries to be just like him, and his poll numbers are in the tank.

(384 posts)Whenever unemployment is high, it's Obama's fault, not the Congress, not the state, but Obama himself.
Whenever unemployment is low in a state, it's because there is a Republican sitting in the Governor's office, except in states where there is NOT a Republican in the Governor's office, like Massachusetts, (about 6% now) and then Republicans say it's just because ........um.... never mind.

(51,550 posts)The state would be doing at least as good as the national average if he has started high speed rail and that tunnel/bridge to NY. But nooooo.

(3,544 posts)This is what happens when you elect a fat ass governor, who can talk the talk, but can't walk the walk. He's totally useless. Glad to see he's the keynote speaker for the GOP. They sure know how to pick em, don't they? Mittens? Ryan? Christie? I guess someone's gotta do it. It's kind of like stupid people. They have to work somewhere.
