Greitens faces criminal investigation over allegations stemming from his affair
Source: stltoday.com
JEFFERSON CITY • St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner will launch a criminal investigation into accusations engulfing Gov. Eric Greitens, she announced Thursday afternoon. Greitens’ acknowledgment Wednesday of an extramarital affair — and denial of possible blackmail — shook the GOP-controlled state capital on Thursday. While GOP legislative leaders limited their statements to expressions of concern and requests that Greitens be honest about what happened, a bipartisan chorus of senators called on Attorney General Josh Hawley, a Republican, to investigate. “The seriousness of this allegation and the implications it will have on the integrity of our state government are deeply disturbing,” their letter said. <more> Read more: http://www.stltoday.com/news/local/govt-and-politics/greitens-faces-criminal-investigation-over-allegations-stemming-from-his-affair/article_15553c38-82d4-57c8-827f-45b4059acada.html

7. Greitens apologists are spreading the lie that he was a Democrat when this affair occurred.
If anyone needs ammo to refute this lie, here it is. I doubt the apologist liars are capable of acknowledging proof 'n' facts 'n' stuff, but it exposes their lies.
1. A quote from the St. Louis Post-Dispatch article dated January 11, 2018: "an affair that became physically intimate for the first time on the morning of March 21, 2015" http://www.stltoday.com/news/local/govt-and-politics/greitens-admits-affair-but-denies-allegation-he-blackmailed-woman-with/article_b5f28d4d-72bd-512c-870b-da7dc7cd1fe3.html 2. Supported by a quote from the previous paragraph of the same article: "he took a photo while she was bound, blindfolded and partly undressed during a sexual encounter at Greitens’ St. Louis home in March 2015. That was about a month after his first public statements confirming he was considering a political run." 3. A link to the Washington Free Beacon; it's the February 19th, 2015 issue: http://freebeacon.com/politics/the-great-jewish-hope/ 4. The money quote statement from the Free Beacon article: "'I’m looking at something in the executive branch where I can lead and actually make a difference, governor or lieutenant governor,' he says. He will run as a Republican" 5. He announced his run as a Republican in February 2015. A. The affair started on March 21st 2015 and continued throughout 2015, as stated in the Post Dispatch article. B. The "He will run as a Republican" quote from the Washington Free Beacon predates the affair and blackmail threat. Therefore, Greitens was definitely a republican, not a Democrat, when he committed this crime. |
