Judge-Denies-American-Airlines-Request-to-Reject-Pilots-Contract

Source: NBC channel 5 Dallas Fort Worth

The federal judge hearing AMR's bankruptcy case, Sean Lane, denied the American Airlines parent company's option to throw out the Allied Pilots Association contract and impose new terms on the union.

Last week, the pilots rejected American's last contract proposal, with 60-percent of members saying no.

Five of the seven bargaining units with AMR have agreed to new contracts during the bankruptcy proceedings, but the pilots and flight attendants have not.

1. Yay! What they're doing is BS.

The whole point is to attempt to break the contracts. They have money in the bank (about 4 billion) but say they aren't making any money. Glad the pilots and flight attendants and the judge stood firm.

3. Wow! AMR execs must not have "donated" enough money to this judge...

or, they got sloppy and didn't get the correct judge!

This is hilarious...how often do the 1%er execs not get what they want.

Go Labor!
