Graham on Moore: 'We are about to give away a seat' key to Trump's agenda

Source: The Hill

BY BRETT SAMUELS - 11/20/17 01:32 PM EST

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) on Monday said Alabama GOP Senate candidate Roy Moore poses a threat to the Republican agenda, adding that he favors maneuvering that would trigger a new special election.

“We’re about to give away a seat that can determine the future of Trump’s agenda, and I hope the good people of Alabama on the Republican side will try to find a way to pick a nominee that can represent the conservative cause in an effective way,” Graham said on Fox News Radio's “The Brian Kilmeade Show.”

Graham said he’s in favor of any maneuvering to get a new nominee on the ticket in Alabama, including an idea that’s been floated wherein Sen. Luther Strange (R-Ala.), who was appointed to the Senate after Sessions was confirmed as attorney general, resigns, triggering a new special election to fill the vacant seat.

“It’s so important to me that we succeed,” Graham said in the interview. “This Jones guy’s not going to help us on anything that Trump wants to do," he added, referring to Moore's Democratic opponent, Doug Jones.

Because of their game-playing, and the failure of too many citizens to appreciate what is happening, the future of our democracy is poised on a knife edge. I used to say that we are the more dangerous point in our history since the Civil War. Now I think that this is the most dangerous point in our history, period.

Now if the Republicans fail to delay the election, and if Doug Jones manages to win (he's been running an honorable and brave campaign, and definitely deserves to win, quite apart from the horrifying alternative), that would increase my optimism by several powers of ten.

Luther Strange is the interim Senator sitting in the seat won by Jeff Sessions in 2014. That seat comes up again in 2020. The election scheduled for December is to fill that seat until the 2020 election. There is no way, if Strange resigned, a new election could be held BEFORE the December election and once the December election is held, there won't be a vacancy. At most, Strange resigning could allow the Governor to appoint someone other than Strange to hold the seat until the December election is held. But there won't be another election needed to fill that seat once the December election is held and Strange resigning now doesn't have to trigger a new election when one already is scheduled.

she already said she won't postpone the election, which would cleanly resolve the issue. If strange resigned, it isn't clear an interim election could be held without canceling the scheduled one.

How the f-ck is that a bad thing Lindsey?

After all Jesus is soft on crime and wants to clothe and feed the poor.
It's just depressing. They don't even care enough about democracy to hide their intentions. And their voters don't care.

and have and are collecting taxpayer benefits at the federal level, and if and when you get ready to fucking retire, you get the AF JAG retirement and then you get your politician retirement, correct------------your mentally is that you still wanting to fuck the taxpayers, you got yours and now, no one else is entitled to have theirs correct...............

Since the taxpayers in your state aren't getting fucked enough, and the taxpayers across the country aren't getting fucked enough, your more fucking concern to help a fucking traitor-----------------your a malignant narcissist sociopaths asshole, that served in the Air Force, that said, when you put your fucking right hand up on the senate bible no less, that you would defend and protect the Constitution, and the same item when you became a right wing fascist republican in the senate-your a traitor............... .

You really need to go and read the chapter of the book The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump starting at page 180-197, The Clinical Case For The Dangerous Of DONALD J. TRUMP by DIANE JHUECK; L.M..H.C., D.M.H.P.

After I read that chapter, I thought to myself, how in the fuck can anyone sane enough to sit in the well of senate, that went around and said that this sexual predator should not be president and said that you would not vote for this asshole are now sitting in the senate enabling the BS and fucking lying on there principles ( note: if you and others had any "principles you would not be voting on anything..........none) and is the most narcissistic sociopath.

How could anyone pass anything supporting for this asshole in the senate with any sanity is beyond comprehension, and the conclusion I came across after reading this chapter, is that your right wing ilk have no fucking principles..........none, your as fucking dangerous has this megalomaniac--------------your so full of shit right along with Murkowski, Heller, Johnson, Collins, Flake, Corker and others of your entire bunch, including the 243 sitting right wing fucking wing nuts sitting in the republican controlled congress ---

You have no fucking principles Graham----so in my rant, GO FUCK YOURSELF and Moore can do the same thing------------your more concern about electing a fucking sexual predator------------------

Your ilk haven't figured it out that this is the year of the Woman.............and it started after your appointed electoral college had the means to protect the Constitution and failed in there job description

It's not Moore's predation that bothers him - it's the potential crazy Moore represents and how that could pose a problem for pushing Trump's (and the GOPs) agenda.

But even without all that - LG is a piss poor excuse for a human and always has been.
