Bannon promised Trump he'd attack top GOP donor: report
Source: MSN/The Hill
Stephen Bannon promised President Trump that he was "going off the chain" to attack GOP donor Paul Singer, a financial backer of the publication that reportedly helped fund the research that led to a controversial dossier linking Trump to Russia, Axios reported Sunday.
Bannon reportedly called Trump on Friday night after news broke that the Washington Free Beacon had originally funded the anti-Trump research that eventually led to the dossier. Singer funds the conservative publication.
Bannon reportedly told Trump he had wanted "to set things right with Singer and his entire crew" for a long time.
Singer, a hedge fund billionaire, is also a top donor for the Republican party and donated $1 million to Trump's inauguration.

Should I hold my breath and hope that Susan Collins will also demand an investigation into Paul Singer for funding the dossier?

I think the various media and others who are acting out now, pushing lies and so on, are indicators of power chains being pulled. Putin is hardly the only one who can control others by threatening to hurt or even destroy them.
I'm really looking forward to seeing what happens with Bannon and Singer. Bannon's hugely financed by a fallen-off-the-right nutso supposed billionaire (maybe not). Singer's another right-wing billionaire for real, estimated 2.8.

(19,199 posts)it's being fair and equitable. I'm sure Ms. Collins intends to get to the bottom of that sticky little problem.
