McCain scolds Trump for missing Russian sanctions deadline

Source: The Hill

Sens. John McCain (R-Ariz.) and Ben Cardin (D-Md.) slammed the Trump administration on Wednesday for missing a key deadline in implementing sanctions against Russia.

“The delay calls into question the Trump administration’s commitment to the sanctions bill which was signed into law more than two months ago, following months of public debate and negotiations in Congress. They’ve had plenty of time to get their act together," the pair said in a joint statement on Wednesday.

By Oct. 1, the McCain and Cardin-penned sanctions bill required the administration clarify which targets would be identified and punished as part of Russia's defense and intelligence sectors. The administration has not yet done so.

The bill had been intended to force President Trump into punishing Russia for its tampering in the 2016 presidential election, with legislators fearing that the president would be overly lenient.

1. Guilty as hell. Trump is 100% a traitor.

He stuffed that bill in his drawer with no intention of implementing it.

5. What the hell do we not get about this ...

Rex Tillerson’s Company, Exxon, Has Billions at Stake Over Sanctions on Russia

"MOSCOW — Now that President-elect Donald J. Trump has chosen Rex W. Tillerson, the chief executive of Exxon Mobil, to be the next secretary of state, the giant oil company stands to make some major gains as well: It has billions of dollars in deals that can go forward only if the United States lifts sanctions against Russia." ...

Well gentlemen, thank you for finally speaking out. You're late. The little tea pot short and stout is going to get into a shooting war. Time to start banging your fists on your desks and demanding action from your friends.

They committed an act of war on our democracy. They messed with our country in a way that has changed us forever and unless we slap the Russians down and out of our country. Every single thing this idiot does is a disaster for our country and the world. It's time for the 25th.

12. So what is Congress going to DO about it? They have a traitorous President who is a Russian puppet,

who of course refuses to implement sanctions against Russia. So what is Congress going to do about that?

We are in uncharted territory.

15. But we have to remember....

this entire "Russian thing" is a "nothing burger". There's absolutely nothing to it, it's "fake news".

If so, why is Trump so hesitant to enact any punitive actions against the country that hacked our election. Why is he not reciprocating Russia's expulsion of hundreds of Embassy employees? I'm sure Donnie Dip-Shit has many reasons this isn't good for the U.S. but he doesn't want to share them with us. Mere mortals can't expect to understand the inner machinations of a mind as learned and complex as Trump's.

(as if this is necessary)
