1. Did you see the Nazi Party candidate?

Anti-Choice/Anti-Gay Marriage/Anti-DACA/Pro restrictions on legal immigration/Pro-Racial Profiling.

She is a vile bigot from North Alabama (Staten Island)

2. Would that be the intrepid Nicole Maliotakis?

Frankly I could never understand what, exactly, makes so many Greek-Americans vote Republican - and often rabidly so. A need to feel accepted perhaps?

I knew several when I lived in Orange County, CA, (home to sizable Greek and Italian communities); I never had the heart to tell them that to the typical Republican, they were "minorities" and were despised as such.

4. You noted that too.

Italians are very Republican. Some poll after the election said Italians went +21 for the Conman.

The Greeks I know are 50/50 for each side.

What happened is that the Ethnic Immigrants of Europe became affluent, went to the suburbs and became greedy, if not racist.

5. Oh, well.

To each his own.

On a lighter note, I'm glad Mayor de Blasio got such a resounding vote of confidence.

He's gotten a lot of bad press - and he may have even earned some of that from what I've heard from a couple of NY acquaintances. But he certainly beats having some Giuliani clone back in Gracie Mansion (or not, if you're Giuliani).

7. There wasn't much of a primary this year

The mayors race has been dead quiet. It looks like DeBlasio will cruise to reelection in November considering how quiet it's been. We'll see
