'Unite the Right' organizer tweets insult of slain protester, backtracks, then cites drug combination, deletes account

A tweet from the account of the far-right activist who organized the Charlottesville, Va., “Unite the Right” rally insulted the protester who was killed at the event, saying late Friday night that her death was “payback time.”

“Heather Heyer was a fat, disgusting Communist,” stated the tweet on an account belonging to Jason Kessler. “Communists have killed 94 million. Looks like it was payback time.”

The tweet linked to a story on neo-Nazi website the Daily Stormer that also insulted Heyer in crude terms and appeared to take glee in her death.

Kessler’s tweet sparked denunciations from other far-right rally attendees, who quickly distanced themselves, accelerating a spiral of recriminations that have been brewing among far-right leaders over who was to blame for the chaos behind last weekend’s violent “Unite the Right” rally.

Stay classy, Mr. Kessler. True to form, you fucked up, embarrassed yourself, and like all Nazis you backtracked and tried to hide the foul garbage that you said and thought.

Bravo sir!

“I repudiate the heinous tweet that was sent from my account last night. I’ve been under a crushing amount of stress & death threats,” one of Kessler's tweets stated. “I’m taking ambien, xanax and I had been drinking last night. I sometimes wake up having done strange things I can’t remember.”

First pretending it wasn't you, then admitting you were doing drugs and alcohol and blaming your poor decisions, rather than than blaming yourself for those decisions. Way to show what you're really made of there buddy. You're a piece of decaying fecal material, and now even the other pieces of fecal material want to distance themselves from your stench.

It takes a special kind of talent to reach that level of disgustingness.

who was granted an audience with one of the top Nazis in Charlottesville. She said she uses the term art-right to indicate a particular branch of white supremacy distinguished by the youth of its members and its modern techniques for recruiting and displaying their bigotry.

She was also the one who said that misogyny and men's right's groups was the gateway bigotry for the alt-righters.

However, it does have the advantage of keeping them linked to the remainder of the right.

As their vile attitudes become more public, I find it useful to keep them tethered to their ideological kin.

Something a new generation could embrace, now that has been yanked from under them and its true face exposed. Many of them are running from it and that's a good thing.

It seems like quite a few of these Fascists seem to have substance issues. (E.g., Cantwell and drinking.)

I wonder what his prescriber is going to do? Try to get him into rehab? I'd think there'd be major liability issues if the prescriber doesn't act.

ETA: and I forgot to mention the most famous fascist junkie of all: Rush Limbaugh

There are reasons that fights, shootings, and suicides often involve alcohol and other drugs. Firearms make these events even more lethal.

When will that term start being used for these assholes who commit violence and murder on American civilians in pursuit of a political agenda? After they're out in the sun too long and get a dark tan?
