Woman Protects Trump Supporters From Crowd, Showing Us How To Combat Hate
Source: Huffington Post
A woman demonstrated perfectly how best to tackle hate, as she helped supporters of President Donald Trump navigate through a crowd that was yelling and spitting at them during a rally in Boston Saturday.
The woman, a 19-year-old named Imani from Connecticut, told the Boston Globe she couldnt think of a better way to counter much of the hate thats bubbled to the surface in America than helping people with whom she disagreed.
You know, I dont believe in this right-wing narrative of the alt-left and how we are crazed and looking to get nonviolent, she told the Globe. What better way to show them they are wrong?
Imani, who is black, told the Globe she didnt think white supremacists would give her the same kind of help she gave on Saturday, but that didnt matter. I couldnt get through a KKK rally with the same treatment, she said. But we shouldnt be like them.

(10,676 posts)...turn their hateful rallies into extremely visible fund raisers for anti-hate cause, as in the town of Wunsiedel.

I love how confused they look the first year Wunsiedel did this:

(381 posts)When the alt-right is the majority at a rally
I'd choose being minority alt right and being bood & spit on in Boston than being minority left being beaten with pipes and murdered in Charlottesville
When the alt right is the majority people are murdered and beaten.

(1,204 posts)Also, is this "alt-left" term becoming an actual thing? The only reason why I use the term alt-right is because they title themselves as such, and they are a fairly clearly define group. I also avoid labeling everyone who is more conservative than me as alt-right as some people have started doing.
What exactly is alt-left supposed to be? Up until the last week I've never heard anyone call themselves alt-left. Maybe I read her comment wrong and she isn't saying she's "alt-left", but just commenting on their usage of it while pushing the violent left narrative.
