Theresa May faces calls of 'shame on you' and 'coward' as she meets tower victims

Source: Sky News

Mrs May had received criticism after visiting the scene of the blaze on Thursday, but failing to meet any of the survivors.

She returned to the site today, this time meeting victims and residents, but was met with cries of "coward" and "shame on you" as she left under heavy police escort.

During her visit - which lasted less than an hour - she also spoke to volunteers and community leaders at St Clement's Church.

One woman wept, saying it was because the Prime Minister had declined to speak to those waiting outside to speak to her.

A man in the crowd commented: "What did she bring, what useful things did she bring? The tower block is more strong and stable than that woman's government."

1. Only ridding the world of conservatism will save Humanity.

It seems humanity is catching on. But is it too late?

2. Damned if she did go or even more damned if she didn't.

This year especially I am a bit shocked (not very, just a bit) at how in normal life, the politicians are getting more and more insulated from the people who vote (or not) for them - I was so used to them with a captive audience (factories, building sites etc) or surrounded by a carefully vetted gaggle of supporters or Party workers.
It was ever thus, I guess, but the difference now as opposed to 20 years back is that one group has been getting richer and more powerful and ther other group is made up of their victims.

May can do nothing right, it seems, after her damp squid of an election. Good, in that her party has caused much of the mess, and seems to ignore the fact that she is supposed to be the PM of the whole country, not the complacent fools that voted for her. Her dreams of being a Thatcher-reborn are vanishing every day.

One moment of joy was seeing these Republicans coming face-to-face with the vocal opposition (in their party as well as in the others) in Town Hall meetings and having to cope with real dissent. Not everybody can be a Trump, which is the best fact about humanity.
