Trump attacks 'fake news' following Kushner reports

U.S. President Donald Trump attacked the news media and dismissed leaks from the White House as "fake news" on Sunday, following reports his son-in-law tried to set up a secret channel of communications with Moscow before Trump took office.

Shortly after Trump's remarks on Twitter, Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly made the rounds of Sunday television news shows to praise any so-called back channel communications, especially with Russia, as "a good thing."

The Republican president returned to the White House after a nine-day trip to the Middle East and Europe that ended on Saturday to face more questions about alleged communications between Jared Kushner and Russia's ambassador to Washington.

That is the issue. Why not disclose them internally, rather than keep them off the books?

Of course the fact is the other way around.

tRump's campaign was discovered sneaking around before July 2016 and so surveillance of foreign contacts was increased.

The FReaks talk about tRump's transition as if it was officially enabled to conduct diplomacy. They will frequently try to equate it with Obama in 2012 saying, as President, to a Russian that he would have more freedom to operate after the election. Of course there was no equivalency because Obama was actually President at the time and there was no transition involved between term 1 and 2.

The FReaks think that the TrumpRussia scandal is a stalking-horse for a coup against a duly elected President who has the support of a majority of Americans. They also believe the world is only 6,000 years old and that tRump is a very healthy alert master business man.

It's finger pointing essentially. "Don't look at me, look at him!"
