Clinton: Trump budget shows 'unimaginable' cruelty

Source: MSN/Associated Press

NEW YORK — Hillary Clinton proclaimed Tuesday that President Donald Trump's budget shows an "unimaginable level of cruelty" for millions of Americans and children.

The former Democratic presidential nominee, who recently declared herself part of the Trump resistance, lashed out at the Republican president's spending plan in aggressive terms after being honored in New York City by the Children's Health Fund, a nonprofit organization that helps provide health care to poor and homeless children.

"This administration and Republicans in Congress are mounting an onslaught against the needs of children and people with disabilities, women and seniors," Clinton charged.

She said the budget, which was released earlier in the day, "shows an unimaginable level of cruelty and lack of imagination and disdain for the struggles of millions of Americans, including millions of children."

But not an "Anne O'Connor" budget, to be sure (the pseudonym under which she collected her So. Sec. checks).

... devoted civil servant wasn't elected POTUS.

If she had been, we'd all be living under the governance of a patriotic American who wouldn't have colluded with the Russians in order to be elected.

There's no doubt she would have appointed her incompetent billionaire buddies to Cabinet positions, and blabbed the country's confidential information to the Russians.

Thank God we dodged that bullet.

During the rally, he said that he no longer needs his base of voters because they already got him into office.

He actually said this.

And with his budget proposal, he's putting his words into (proposed) action. He doesn't need his Fanboys. They can rot. He's got HIS.

Worried about her e-mails and whether her server was hacked and Trump gives classified info directly to the Russians in the oval office and no proof exist Hillary's server was ever hacked.

I love HRC!

I hate MSN articles and never go there anymore. Why are the comments so tilted to the reich wing? Is it a conservative site or something? I've never understood that.

As GOP tarries on health bill, funding for children's health languishes
Politics Julie Rovner · Kaiser Health News · May 22, 2017

... With summer just around the corner, and most of official Washington swept up in scandals surrounding Trump, the health overhaul delays are starting to back up the rest of the 2018 agenda.

One of the immediate casualties is the renewal of the Children's Health Insurance Program. CHIP covers just under 9 million children in low- and moderate-income families, at a cost of about $15 billion a year.

Funding for CHIP does not technically end until Sept. 30, but it is already too late for states to plan their budgets effectively. They needed to know about future funding while their legislatures were still in session, but, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures, the local lawmakers have already adjourned for the year in more than half of the states.

...

In a March letter urging prompt action, the Medicaid directors noted that while the end of September might seem far off, "as the program nears the end of its congressional funding, states will be required to notify current CHIP beneficiaries of the termination of their coverage. This process may be required to begin as early as July in some states."
