DNC Chair Perez: Voter fraud probe a 'Trump-sponsored propaganda factory'

Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez blasted President Trump’s signing of an executive order to create an “election integrity” commission, calling it a “Trump-sponsored propaganda factory.”

“Donald Trump shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near the word ‘integrity,’” Perez said in a statement. “This commission is nothing but a Trump-sponsored propaganda factory for justifying the GOP’s broader voter suppression efforts and nursing the president’s wounded ego after the lost the popular vote.”

Trump signed an executive order Wednesday establishing a commission tasked with reviewing Trump’s allegations that millions of people voted illegally in the 2016 election.

“Republicans like Kris Kobach, who Trump hand-picked to run this charade, have spent years lying about voter fraud in order to keep African American and Latino voters from the polls,” Perez said.

Glad Perez is pushing back on the narrative that the commission is going to highlight anything other than voter suppression. This commission is going to explore a hand full of voter fraud cases from across the country and then they'll lie about the quantities.

Local voter fraud, state voter fraud. Corrupt politicians have used voter fraud, police intimidation, false criminal charges, and other horrible things to stay in power for so long. The problem with the program aint rocket science:

They claimed people with the same name in registered in different states were the same person voting in both states.

However, they didn't look at Social Security numbers to see if they actually were the same person.

Or if they were the same person, if they voted in both places in any election.

Greg Palast covered this BEFORE the election, but Democrats didn't twist the arms of mainstream media to get them to cover it.

Since they are finally willing to make noise about a Republican president's crimes, maybe they'll start making noise about the disenfranchisement of a large chunk of the Democratic Party base.
