Obama administration officials were so concerned about what would happen to key classified documents related to the Russia probe once President Trump took office that they created a list of document serial numbers to give to senior members of the Senate Intelligence Committee, a former Obama official told NBC News.

If I read this right, the "list" with the serial numbers was given to the Senate Intelligence Committee, not the documents themselves. If true, then when the committee request documents and documents from the "list" are not there...BOOM!

out of the National Archives before testifying about 9/11. He may have believed the bush people would destroy docs related to terrorism and try to blame Clinton.

a while back. In the article I read it was also said that the Obama administration worked to declassify, and re-classify whatever they possibly could, so it would see more eyes.

I mean I may just be succumbing to conspiracy theories but at least on the surface it's not looking good for Trump. It's looking like maybe there is some real stuff about the whole Russia thing.

Then what about poor Obama? Here he is on his way out, far as he knows Hillary is going to win, they felt confident enough for Biden to pull back. So it's going to be a huge shitstorm and do you really want to deal with that right before you are going to leave.

You got the republicans who are going to accuse you of wrongly attacking TrumpCo.

So why not have all the stuff and then just let the chips fall after you leave, just make sure the incriminating evidence is in the right hands.

34. I remember many Dems and media called for Obama to declassify and release more publicly

before he left office, but instead he pressed for that IC report that was issued in January and documented this inventory of pertinent documents. If Obama had declassified and released more earlier, that would have interfered with the ongoing FBI criminal investigation and compromised intelligence sources.
