Sanders: Sessions should resign
Source: The Hill
Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) is joining a growing chorus of Democratic senators calling on Attorney General Jeff Sessions to resign. Sanders’s statement comes after The Washington Post reported that Sessions spoke to Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak during the presidential campaign, then denied any meetings under oath during his confirmation hearing. Sanders called the reports “deeply disturbing.” “Attorney General Sessions should resign and a special prosecutor should be appointed to give the American people credible answers about Russia’s involvement in the U.S. election,” Sanders said in a statement. 5. Glad to see he JOINED the other Senators who'd ALREADY called for Sessions to resign.
Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) is joining a growing chorus of Democratic senators calling on Attorney General Jeff Sessions to resign. I'm delighted to have his voice added to the rest of elected officials upholding their sworn oath to defend the Constitution.

7. I understand that you're emotional and passionate about that. But "traitor" has a very strict legal
... definition, and I do not believe that the elected officials who fail to "stand up" can be referred to as "traitors" (except in a pejorative sense). They may disappoint and not fulfill your expectations or desires, but they're not actually traitors.

3. Bernie's right
Poor Beauregard, he should've stood in bed, as they say.
If he had just stayed in the Senate he would still have that seat. Now he's likely to be out on the street without a Senate seat and without a cabinet spot either. Too bad, so sad ![]() |

8. It would be nice if we could take his Senate seat.
Things would have to get really bad for that to happen. We can dream.
