Trump familys elaborate lifestyle is a logistical nightmare at taxpayer expense
Source: MSN/Washington Post
Barely a month into the Trump presidency, the unusually elaborate lifestyle of America’s new first family is straining the Secret Service and security officials, stirring financial and logistical concerns in several local communities, and costing far beyond what has been typical for past presidents — a price tag that, based on past assessments of presidential travel and security costs, could balloon into the hundreds of millions of dollars over the course of a four-year term. Adding to the costs and complications is Trump’s inclination to conduct official business surrounded by crowds of people, such as his decision last weekend to host Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe for a working dinner while Mar-a-Lago members dined nearby. The handful of government agencies that bear the brunt of the expenses, including the Defense and Homeland Security departments, have not responded to Washington Post requests for data laying out the costs since Trump took office. * * * Trump’s three Mar-a-Lago trips since the inauguration have likely cost the federal treasury roughly $10 million, based on figures used in an October government report analyzing White House travel, including money for Coast Guard units to patrol the exposed shoreline and other military, security and staffing expenses associated with moving the apparatus of the presidency. 2. Give him about six months...
...and many of his most ardent supporters are going to be calling for his head on a platter. Irresponsible, dumb-fook right wingers and butt-head gullible angry, frustrated blue collar buffoons.

4. I read somewhere that the cost of the Obama's vacations were between 85 and 100 million for 8 yrs.
At this rate Trump will reach that in the first year.

21. The RWers on Twitter are claiming Trump will pay for it himself!
Seriously. One said, in effect, "We don't know. The media is probably lying. We should just ask him before jumping to judgement." I'd link to the tweet but I blocked her after replying with something to the effect of, "Oh right. Just ask the Liar-in-Cheif! Lol."
Someone else's superior reply I wish I'd wrote: "You know you are now officially a member of a cult, right?" ![]() |

6. In other words Trump is the most expensive president in history.
Why do you think he is taking everything away from the people we have to pay for him somehow. This is what dictators do.

10. I'm sure that
he saw this job as a way to live "the life" along with his overgrown teat-sucking offspring and make us all pay for it. His sense of entitlement is second to none.

15. I Think It Just Shows How Congressional Republicans Are Looking The Other Way...
...even as Trump turns an entire NY Building into a White House NY and an entire golf resort in Florida into White House FL. These are not even private residences, but public buildings for which Trump rents out space AND he is trying to charge the federal government rent to use these buildings. It is entirely corrupt.

14. Three weeks and $10 million. Obama's family cost that much in a year and Republicons howled.
Now: crickets.
17 x 3 = 51 weeks 17 x 10 = $170 million per year. Could easily be higher. tRump has played golf something like 3 times in 3 weeks. Obama played his first game at 3 months. One (1) game. Republicons howled. Now: crickets. Cricket hypocrites. |

18. I remember when the 'fiscally responsible' right wing bomb tossers
made up stories about how much Prez O's '10 trip to India was costing taxpayers. They sure got outraged about the 'huge' costs.
Of course, they lied about the costs. They're repugs, so noting they're liars seems a bit redundant. I don't expect to hear any outrage from Hannity, Limbaugh, Beck, Drudge, and Bachmann about their 'emperor' costing us millions of dollars, just because he feels like it. They're repugs, so noting they're hypocrites seems a bit redundant. http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2010/nov/04/michele-bachmann/rep-michele-bachmann-claims-obamas-trip-india-will/ |

19. American taxpayers should not be footing the bill for the sons to travel the planet on business.
The Trump organization needs to start cutting checks to the treasury. It's bad enough these assholes don't pay taxes.
