Washington (CNN) A growing number of Democratic lawmakers are boycotting President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration, particularly after revelations of Russia's alleged meddling in the 2016 election and his rebuke of civil rights icon John Lewis on Saturday. Some members of Congress have said they will be protesting in DC and in their districts instead. Here's a list of Democrats who have publicly said they won't be at the ceremony Friday. The count is up to 24 now http://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/these-democratic-lawmakers-won-t-attend-trump-s-inauguration-n707001 Read more: http://www.cnn.com/2017/01/14/politics/democrats-boycotting-donald-trump-inauguration/index.html Hopefully by the inauguration it will be a solid block.

5. If only to watch Trump squirm...
I think it's especially important that the Clintons be there. And should glare at Trump with laser focus, never breaking eye-contact for a second! I would like to think that just their being there would make him very uncomfortable. But, alas, Trump probably doesn't know how to feel either guilt or shame so it may be a wasted effort.

14. I don't believe for one second they want to attend...
It's just them rising above it and avoiding more negative judgement....I bet they leave quickly.

Needs to be 100% of both chambers.

12. One mistake here
No one should reject the invitations ahead of time. The Trumps will just fill their seats with wingers. Those Dems should act like they are attending and not show up at the appointed time. The empty seats would have a better effect on TV than a slightly smaller crowd.

15. Hearing Kurt Schrader's statement on NPR made me proud to be an Oregonian.
"I'm just not a big Trump fan. I've met the guy and never been impressed with him," he told Oregon Public Broadcasting Friday. "I'll do my best to work with him when I think he's doing the right thing for the country. But he hasn't proved himself to me at all yet, so I respectfully decline to freeze my ass out there in the cold for this particular ceremony."
