Trump says the election is rigged — and his supporters are furious

Source: Boston Globe

...And if Trump doesn’t win, some are even openly talking about violent rebellion and assassination, as fantastical and unhinged as that may seem.

“If she’s in office, I hope we can start a coup. She should be in prison or shot. That’s how I feel about it,” Dan Bowman, a 50-year-old contractor, said of Hillary Clinton, the Democratic nominee. “We’re going to have a revolution and take them out of office if that’s what it takes. There’s going to be a lot of bloodshed. But that’s what it’s going to take. . . . I would do whatever I can for my country.”

He then placed a Trump mask on his face and posed for pictures.
...
“Trump said to watch you precincts. I’m going to go, for sure,” said Steve Webb, a 61-year-old carpenter from Fairfield, Ohio.

“I’ll look for . . . well, it’s called racial profiling. Mexicans. Syrians. People who can’t speak American,” he said. “I’m going to go right up behind them. I’ll do everything legally. I want to see if they are accountable. I’m not going to do anything illegal. I’m going to make them a little bit nervous.”
...
“We’re going to have a lot of election fraud,” said Jeannine Bell Smith, 65-year-old longtime teacher in a red Trump shirt with a bucket of popcorn under her arm. “They are having illegals vote. In some states, you don’t need voter registration to vote.”

After a prayer is said and the national anthem sung, she leans in.

“We can’t have that lying bitch in the White House,” she said.

where dRumpf's crowd all said they didn't care about anything he said or did that appeared to run counter to the values and norms all regular human Americans hold. It was an interesting short clip, seeing their statements, and looking at the supporters themselves.

Their party always threatens civil war, as a subtext for their political campaigns. Let's see them try to pull an Oregon Bundy move. They've always been around, their numbers aren't at Hilter's magic 10%, and real Americans hate their guts. That's why they can't come out openly and say "I'm a big nazi, and I'm proud of it!"

His crowd are the exact same people who were cowardly bullies in the school yard. That kind always goes in threatening and murder mouthing before a fight. They have to know they won, before they go into a fight, because they're scared to death that they're going to get hurt. Every cell in their bodies is precious to them, every skin cell and drop of their blood. Their completely pain free existence is precious to them, they can't imagine feeling the slightest bit of pain or discomfort, the idea of pain is unbearable to them.

If they don't see any sign that their murder mouthing is making the "victim" quail, they don't start the fight. Because they're cowards. All nazis are cowards.

The problem with these folks is that they seem unable to think logically. They don't project forward in to the time-line of revolution and weigh the consequences, both to themselves and the country they profess to love.

Well that comprises about 99% of the population of the United States. Most of us speak English. English is from England, which is part of Europe. Many other millions speak Spanish. Spain, too, is part of Europe. If you speak Navajo, Lakota, Cherokee, Hopi, Tlingit, Nahuatl, Apache, THEN you speak "American." I doubt anyone named Steve Webb from Ohio knows one word of any American language.

Voter intimidation is illegal, asshole. Not to mention threatening murder and insurrection.

"There's going to be a lot of bloodshed."

Oh, really? Who are you going to kill first? Blacks? Mexicans? Interracial couples? Non-Protestants? Muslims in particular? Liberal professors? Trade unionists? Jews? The disabled? Women who won't take sexual abuse with a "grin-and-bear-it" attitude? People with different opinions? Left-handed people?

And you're going to do it all with that cross around your neck, too. Sigh.

And then - make no mistake - some of those people will fight back. And some of you will die too. And the country will go up in flames. And it isn't even really about the election. It will all be because you can't stand for there to be anybody who isn't Just. like. You.

It's just sad.
