Kerry says Russia, Syria should face war crimes probe

WASHINGTON (AP) — Secretary of State John Kerry says Russia and Syria should face a war crimes investigation for their attacks on Syrian civilians.

Kerry says Syrian forces struck another hospital overnight, killing 20 people and wounding 100.

He says Russia and Syria owe the world "more than an explanation" about why they keep hitting hospitals and women and children. Such acts, he says, "beg for an appropriate investigation of war crimes."

Kerry says such attacks are "way beyond" accidental at this point. He accuses the pair of undertaking a "targeted strategy ... to terrorize civilians."

8. I'm all for going after Russia and Assad for any possible war crimes...

I'm just not sure if it makes much sense for the US to be calling for it. I put it in the same category as when people who are out in full force to criticize the US or its allies, but remain silent when Russia or Assad do the same or worse.

Anyway war sucks and it's sad that people are dying, but that's the world we live in right now. I don't foresee that changing anytime soon.
