Russia Withdraws From Plutonium Disposal Treaty
Source: The New York Times
MOSCOW — Saying relations with the United States have deteriorated into a “radically changed environment” of threat and instability, President Vladimir V. Putin withdrew Russia on Monday from a plutonium disposal treaty that was one of the framework nuclear disarmament deals of the early post-Cold War period. The treaty, signed in 2000, required Russia and the United States to destroy military stockpiles of plutonium, the radioactive material used in some bomb cores, in a deal presented as yet another step away from nuclear doomsday. The deal has no bearing on the numbers of nuclear weapons deployed by Russia or the United States. Instead, it concerns 34 tons of plutonium in storage in each country that might go into a future arsenal. Still, the abrogation signals that the nuclear agreements that accompanied the breakup of the Soviet Union and were to lead the world back from the hair-trigger brink of atomic conflict could be open to revision, as Russia’s relations with the West sour on a range of disputes today, including Syria and Ukraine and the Kremlin’s interference in the domestic politics of Western democracies. I'm sure his KBG agents Trump and Julian ASSange will be happy with this news

Putin is ready to destabilize the world just for vanity's sake, he and Drumpf are a pair made in heaven. One is already a dictator and the other wants to be a dictator. Only problem, we aren't having it and it isn't going to happen!

I'd like her to concentrate more on issues in the United States but of course the world leaders will demand her attention.

6. i am starting to worry that russia will unleash some real chaos
close to the election, in hope of stirring up trump voters.
or at the very least, mucking up enough of the election systems to make people doubt the results. if you are looking for the oct surprise, try sarah palin's front porch. |

7. They can & will unleash some real chaos
If we sit back and let them. I think we should freeze all Russian assets from Putin down, do a Cuba style embargo on Russia and do the same to any country that gives his agents safe haven like Ecuador
"WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange cancelled a planned appearance to mark the 10th anniversary of his organization from the balcony of the Ecuadorian embassy in London over security fears on Monday". |

8. That's right, Pootie, let's ramp up the chance of a nuclear conflict becasue the US won't
obey your commands. Let's increase the opportunities for terrorists to steal nuclear material and build a dirty bomb. The difference between Putin and Trump is that Putin is intelligent and disciplined.

13. Quite clearly, neither.
I'm voting for Clinton. I consider Putin more dangerous than Trump - unless Trump get into office. Then he may be more dangerous to the U.S. than Putin. If Trump was as intelligent a nd disciplined as Putin, he'd win the election and try to turn us into a totalitarian state.

Plutonium is a mega killer. As I understand it , a bit as small as a grain of sand can kill you. May take some time, but deadly as shit.
"During and after the end of World War II, scientists working on the Manhattan Project and other nuclear weapons research projects conducted studies of the effects of plutonium on laboratory animals and human subjects.[93] Animal studies found that a few milligrams of plutonium per kilogram of tissue is a lethal dose.[94] In the case of human subjects, this involved injecting solutions containing (typically) five micrograms of plutonium into hospital patients thought to be either terminally ill, or to have a life expectancy of less than ten years either due to age or chronic disease condition.[93] This was reduced to one microgram" NOTE: Microgram is one millionth of a gram or One microgram is only 0.00000003527 ounces. 11. Putin poisoned a journalist with polonium 210
he sure has a lot to work with now.
"It was probable, said the report, by a retired judge, Sir Robert Owen, that Mr. Putin and his spy chief at the time, Nikolai Patrushev, had approved an operation to kill Mr. Litvinenko, using a highly toxic and rare isotope, polonium 210." |
