FULSHEAR, TX (WPVI) --
A silence continues to hang over a Fort Bend County, Texas, neighborhood after a shooting rocked the usually quiet street.

Fort Bend County Sheriff's deputies say Taylor Sheats, 22, and Madison Sheats, 17, were shot and killed by their mother Christy Sheats, 42, on Friday around 5 p.m. A Fulshear police officer shot and killed Christy at the home on Remson Hollow Lane when she refused to drop her weapon. Only the husband and father, Jason Sheats, was not harmed.

10. Speaking of the "NRA"...

"It would be horribly tragic if my ability to protect myself or my family were to be taken away," Sheats wrote in March on her Facebook page, "but that's exactly what Democrats are determined to do by banning semi-automatic handguns."

20. More like "Only the husband and father, Jason Sheats, was not shot dead."

This story is too much.

5. Duplicate that really doesn't add anything to a story that happened last Friday.

7. I've read multiple threads that say she died at the hospital.

A story that happened on Friday is not breaking news on Sunday afternoon.

8. What? No neighbors/acquaintances want to come forward and say "Called it but nobody would listen"?

Weird how that happens when a scary foreign looking person is doing the violence, like with San Bernardino for example.

13. More blood for gun huggers to not care about, since their gun is more important than life

I have no patience for gun humpers anymore. I will flag anyone who posts NRA talking points about:

"blaming tools"
"cars kill too"
"good people with guns"
"ban knives"
"outlaws don't care"
"due process is being violated"

or any other Wayne LaPierre bullshit!

14. This has always been the most important reason for gun control.

Whatever might be going on or going wrong in this country, guns sure make it easier to kill.

This is just another example.

You cannot depend on human nature drunk or not, pissed off or not, or at wits end or not. But one thing you can depend on is the gun to be the most destructive tool used.

19. I Hope The Police Return The Gun

He's not guaranteed a wife, nor children. But Thank God the 2nd Amendment guarantees him the right to own firearms.

People die to protect that right. As evidenced here.
