George Will exits the Republican Party over Trump
Source: Washington post
Conservative columnist George Will has left the Republican Party over its presumptive nomination of Donald Trump. Will, who writes a column for The Washington Post, spoke about his decision Friday at an event for the Federalist Society in Washington. “This is not my party,” he told the audience, the news site PJ Media first reported. Speaking with The Post, Will said that he changed his voter registration from “Republican” to “unaffiliated” several weeks ago, the day after House Speaker Paul D. Ryan (R-Wis.) endorsed Trump. 3. Yeah, it is your fucking party. You spent years planting the seed among the base that led to Trump's
ascendance.
One of the worst things about discussions regarding politics and social issues in the US is the amount of obtuseness and denialism that is pervasive. It's impossible to have an honest conversation about any topic. |

instead of more cunning, low key, yet rapacious stupid clowns like him.

8. Donald Trump can bring George F. Will back into the fold in five seconds. All he has to do
All he has to do is give the pedantic little shit an autographed NY Yankees World Series baseball. Five minutes later, Will will be writing Trumps speeches for him. If the orange-faced dunce ever stands in front of a teleprompter, and starts giving a speech with words like 'recondite,' and 'ostentatiously,' we'll know that's exactly what happened.

6. I hate it when I agree with George Will
He's finally catching on: His imaginary world where no one but him and his rich friends matters does not exist.
Nice to know even old scarecrows can catch on. The Yiddish expression is "geh gesunde hey." More or less the southern "bless her heart" with alot of "don't let the door hit you on the way out." |

He'll never starve as long as he can do his famous carnival trick. You know...that trick where he eats a thesaurus, and then shits an opinion column? Amazing trick.

and the veneer of polite over the racism. And Trump would never be caught dead in a bow-tie. If anything, Will is far more obsessed with race than Trump is.

20. so he was quite willing to contribute to a corrupt organization until someone came along ..
that exposed what a mess the GOP really is. I don't like the guy for being a republican in a position to sway public opinion. Who really cares about George Will, he is just as screwed up as Trump and the rest of the right wing.

Will does have a fan base---and I am hoping they take his words seriously.
http://bigstory.ap.org/article/5cab8abbbdcf4d868ea38f02abcdd7ed/conservative-writer-george-will-drops-out-gop-over-trump ..........Will isn't saying whom he will support for president. He has been criticizing the billionaire businessman for months in his column for the Post and, in doing so, has drawn Trump's scorn. Recently, Will wrote a column in which he urged Republican donors to "save their party by not aiding its nominee." |

28. I realized a while ago that I cannot predict politics.
But one thing I do is not believing something until there is a shitload of evidence.
There is small evidence over the decades that republicans go democrat. There has been lots of evidence of democrats going the opposite...they wanted to make lots of money. I'm not saying any names so I don't break the new rules. I don't trust George Will to do the right thing. But I sure like what is happening in the Democratic Party now. He is beside the point now. |
