I keep adding the source for this, but the text editing software refuses to accept it. It shows up in the "Preview" mode, but it's deleted in the final version. I had this problem last month too. I don't know what's wrong. Can someone look into this? Thanks.

MarketWatch reported a median forecast of a gain of 185,000 from ADP and 198,000 from BLS on Friday.

1. Good info

Thanks for posting these. Sorry I can't help with the tech problem (I'm an old geezer). I do remember that no republican president has left office with unemployment below 6% and no democratic president has left office with unemployment above 5 since FDR.

2. Didn't Carter leave with about 7.5% unemlpoyment?

Of course, it was really inflation, high interest rates and the oil shock that doomed Carter. And the hostages too.

3. Yes you are correct - my bad

He was unable to change the Nixon/Ford rate he inherited of 7.5% he beat OPEC's price fix by putting natural gas reserves on the market, and Reagan's republican operatives made a deal with Iran to wait until after the election to release the hostages, a relationship between Reagan's operatives and the conservative Iranian religious regime that lasted through the Iran Contra scandal.

There's no disputing the rate. Thanks!!!
