Police identify body-parts suspect; severed hand bound for Liberals

Police allege the murder of a man in Montreal – and the subsequent mailing of at least two body parts to Ottawa – was the work of 29-year-old male model and adult-film performer Luka Rocco Magnotta.
One part, a foot, was delivered to Conservative Party headquarters. The second, a hand, was destined for Liberal Party offices, The Globe and Mail has learned.
The strange case has gripped Canada with the discovery of a torso in a suitcase in Montreal, a foot by staff at Conservative Party of Canada headquarters and a hand in another package by officials at Canada Post.
He told the Toronto Sun he has worked in the world of adult films and was born Eric Clinton Newman, before he legally changed his name. He also vigorously denied rumours of a romantic liaison with Karla Homolka, who has served a 12-year sentence for manslaughter.
