Fresh off State of the Union, Obama will head to Omaha

WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama will head straight to Omaha on Wednesday just hours after delivering his final State of the Union address.

Obama is holding the city up as evidence of progress that everyday Americans have seen under his administration, according to information provided by a White House official on the condition that he not be named.

Next week’s trip will be Obama’s first real visit to Nebraska as president.

Details on exactly what Obama will do during his time in Omaha — including when and where he will speak — have not been released.
