Paul LePage promises to veto anti-drug bill, calls it corruption
Source: Lewiston Sun Journal
Gov. Paul LePage said in a Tuesday radio appearance that hell veto legislative leaders $4.8 million proposal aimed at fighting Maines drug crisis.
The Republican governor railed against the proposal in perhaps his strongest terms on WVOM, making the dubious claim that the sponsors put the names of the companies that will get the money in the text of the bill and accusing them of corruption.
He said if the bill passes, itll be vetoed, and not only will it be vetoed, theyre going to have a hard time in the House to get two thirds to override the veto, he said.
Im just not putting up with it, he said. The corruption is over.

(2,382 posts)Maine has a horrific drug problem, but this self-centered asshole, like every Republican Satan ever defecated, thinks only of getting back at Democrats. Maine cannot get rid of LePlague fast enough; he's the worst thing that ever happened to that state.

(63,221 posts)Follow the money, as usual. What a pig. People in New England are dying in record rates due to drug abuse. This is a public heath crisis. He doesn't give a shit that people have children dying in droves due to illegal drugs, he must be getting a big payoff. Legalize them, but make sure they are regulated and consistent in purity. Spend the tax revenue on rehab. He knows that eventually the ILLEGAL drug trade will be traced back to him.

(3,839 posts)And accept that when you vote for Republicans, you get Republican policies.
They had their chance, just like Wisconsin, Michigan, New Jersey, and Ohio. I am failing to feel one ounce of sympathy.
And remember, my idiot governor is Doug Ducey (Douchey) in Arizona.
