Donald Trump apparently thinks the San Bernardino shootings are good for him

Donald Trump's retweeting habits leave something to be desired. His retweets have managed to insult Iowans, pass along bogus statistics that suggest blacks kill whites at an alarming clip and have featured an image of Jeb Bush with a swastika.

Early Thursday morning, Trump did it again. This time, he retweeted a supporter who pretty clearly appeared to suggest that the shootings in San Bernardino, Calif., on Wednesday — shootings that killed 14 and injured 17 — would help Trump's "poll numbers."

And below is the context of the tweet Trump forwarded to his followers. As you can see, the previous commenter suggested Trump would get a bump from saying "no more muslim immigration to america." In response, the Twitter user that Trump retweeted said, "his poll numbers jump every time instances like this occur."


The tweet is a pretty clear reference to the San Bernardino shootings, given they dominated the news over the past 18 hours and that one of the suspects, Syed Rizwan Farook, has been identified as a devout Muslim.

Is to come up with a solution regarding Islamists in our midst before one is thrust upon us from the right.

Because whatever they come up with will not be pretty.

And, no, banning guns won't work. These assshats had pipe bombs and cars and would just change tactics.

And, no, Paul Ryan's idea of expanded mental health won't work, unless the DSM includes the new mental illness I coined today -- Sudden Jihad Syndrome.

We have to be somewhat intrusive into Islamic affairs, just as we were in German American affairs in WWII. There is a disease there that has to be rooted out.

Otherwise, the right will use the Japanese American camp approach.

in WW2 Japanese origin citizens of Canada and USA were interned. In Canada, germans and italians had to report weekly to the police. So there is something less than internment/deportation.

We need the help of the moslem community on this, specifically, they need to flag for the authorities, who are the young moslems who have been relatively secular and have suddenly become very devout.

now, what to do with those moslems who are suddenly very religious: put them under surveillance ? have the FBI interview them every 2 weeks to see how things are going ? (try both and see what works better?) other ?
