Ahmed Mohamed to visit White House for 'Astronomy Night'

IRVING, Texas -- The Texas teenager, who was handcuffed after taking a homemade clock to school, is making a special trip to the White House on Monday.
Ahmed Mohamed, 14, will meet with President Obama. The president was hoping to see the invention that sparked conversation nationwide, but it's still with the Irving Police Department in Texas.
Mohamed is scheduled to enjoy a night of science and stargazing on the South Lawn. The president personally invited him out for "Astronomy Night."
The high school freshman, who has since withdrawn from the Irving Independent School District following his arrest, arrived in Washington, D.C. over the weekend.
