Post-Debate Poll Shows New GOP Frontrunner Has Emerged

Source: Truth In Media

CALIFORNIA, September 18, 2015– On Wednesday, 11 Republican presidential primary candidates took their hard-earned places behind their respective podiums on stage at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library. The first post-debate poll has been released, and Carly Fiorina, the former CEO of HP, is now a front-runner for the Republican nomination.

A strong performance in the first debate on the under-card stage thrust Fiorina onto the main stage for Wednesday’s CNN debate. Many questioned whether or not she’d continue to impress, or if she would buckle under the pressure.

After the debate, those who underestimated Fiorina were silenced. According to Robert Herring, Sr., CEO of One America News Network, the One America News national post-debate poll conducted by Gravis Marketing, a non-partisan research firm, shows it’s all Fiorina coming out of the second debate.

Taken immediately after the debate, the Gravis poll shows Fiorina jumping to first place at 22 percent, tied with Donald Trump. OAN’s previous national poll, conducted on September 3-4, showed the former HP top executive in seventh place with 2.7 percent.

It looks like Fiorina and Rubio were the big winners of the debate. Ben Carson seems to be the big loser.

Here is a link to the poll that was taken:

1. I told you guys underestimate Fiorina at your own peril.

She is a nasty candidate, full of tough talk. She will be on the vice presidential list, along with Thune, Ayotte, Martinez, Haslam, and even Duncan Hunter, Jr. But the crazies in the GOP are already losing it with Trump.

26. I don't buy it ...

Just because she won one single debate, it doesn't make her a freekin Godzilla ...

Your hyperactive concern is duly noted ... Again ... And again ....

28. Actually, she won two debates

yes, including the mini one in Fox.

I think that it is a clear that she is a good debater but this does not mean that she can be a good candidate or, heavens forbids, a good president.

Even the WSJ opined: Ms. Fiorina, who said she wouldn’t talk to Mr. Putin at all because “we’ve talked to him way too much.” That is unrealistic.

2. Flavor of the month is "dead baby parts ripped from the womb while still squirming baby is on a table"!

Those liberals are truly monsters.....defund everything!!

Judged by CNN tall foreheads to be "true, but misleading". Which describes CNN perfectly.

What the double fuck??

I really do think the mass media is mocking all of us knowing there is little we can do to mock them in return.

9. As long as we have Stephen Colbert on our side ...

... the mocking continues, unabated.

He opened the monologue Wednesday night with "The 2nd Republican Presidential Debate was on CNN earlier tonight. I didn't watch it, in keeping with the long-standing American tradition of not watching CNN."

3. The only reason she's polling higher right now is...

that she out-lied the rest of that pack of sorry gits.

Leave it to them to always lean toward the one that is the furthest off the rails.

38. I symapthize, but it's not the job of the debate moderator

to dispute claims, or to participate at all, really.

I truly cannot stand the absurd spectacle of televised "debates". They have almost no connection to the process of contesting ideas that the word "debate" implies.

We are an Idiocracy and televised debates are just another reality show.

6. Another non-surprise.

Of course she's now the Republican front runner - she told the debate's biggest lie, didn't she? (see the current "Pic of the Moment.) That's gotta count for SOMETHING, doesn't it?

10. The Debate Should Have Been Called - The Biggest Liar....

other names could be - America's Got Liars; Amazing Racists; Survivor - Outwit, OutLie, Outlast; Dancing With The Liars; Rehash Addicts; - I'm sure that others here have other choice names.

This is the ultimate reality show and the American People love it based on the ratings.

......full of righteous anger for something that didn't happen, able to lie with a straight face, and with absolutely NO experience in office!

Of course, she does have experience destroying American jobs, which may endear her to the Bros. Koch!

Oh, God! Do we have to look forward to months of her appearing on every newscast?

Next up in the deli hot-dog skewer, Ben Carson!!!!! Get him while he's hot!

Crispie is coming around. Do you want a bun with him or is he already breaded?

Pretty soon you'll be able to get 2 or 3 wieners on a stick for only $1.99. (You'll need to buy a Big Slurp to wash them down, tho.)

23. OK. Points taken.

I just wanted to show the latest info. I didn't think it had exactly zero value. It was an opportunity to discuss the latest trends emerging from the debate, namely Fiorina's ability to acquire a large reward by being the biggest liar on the stage.

I agree that the polls coming in a couple days, from all the primary voters, will be the better ones for the purpose of establishing where everyone currently stands.

And both got the biggest applause. Figures!

17. She's definitely one of the biggest liars.

Her made up story about Planned Parenthood is sickening and totally, 100%, false. She didn't win in CA because they caught her lying so much, and that will also keep her out of the presidency. Of course, this doesn't disqualify her with Repugs who are totally OK with their own lying, as long as the lies fit the narrative they want. It will disqualify her with Independents, however.

Jebs lies about his brother are also OK with the base, since they don't face facts well. It too, will really turn off Independents who know that 9/11 and Katrina and Iraq all happened on his watch. Probably the worst record of any president, ever. That will definitely keep Jebbie out of the WH.

They both share a certain care-free indifference towards the truth.

Remember Romney's top hits? President Obama didn't call the Benghazi attacks an act of terror? The American Enterprise Institute is a non-partisan group?

.

They are trying to replace Trump or weaken as the frontrunner?

Or do they want things competitive to drive up viewership even more?

.

And get their fabrications and spiel synchronized. It makes a real person's head spin.

AFAI Can Tell, CNN, MSNBC, Disney, ABC, CBS, (and perhaps NPR) are all owned/controlled by the same potentates.

You know, if the donald was to be in charge, he'd have them all in line, licking his boots/etc.

27. This is an IVR poll by Gravis so enjoy it with a generous helping of salt

Interactive voice response polling has a mixed record of reliability, and Gravis is a subpar pollster.

I expect Fiorina and Rubio to move up and perhaps Carson to dip slightly, but I don't expect such dramatic movement.

will come out in the coming days. So take it for what it's worth.

I just wanted to highlight the current trends and who seems to have won and lost ground as a result of the debate.

The real message from this poll is that Carly Fiorina has been richly rewarded for lying through her teeth.

36. I agree. It is interesting data, but it is data than may prove to be an outlier (Real Clear Politics

excludes Gravis polls from its aggregator because of the history of inaccuracy but Huffington Post's pollster includes Gravis polls and 538 considers them but at a reduced weight).

As long as you take the polling for what its worth, it is still useful information.

41. Gravis has Trump and Fiorina tied at 22%; Morning Consult has trump at 36% and Fiorina at 10%. One

of these two polls (or possibly both) grossly misses the mark.

I suspect that Gravis will be proven to be the outlier.

She will never get the nomination. The Democrats would tear her to shreds for her record at HP and elsewhere, and the RNC knows that.
