Keith Olbermann's show on ESPN to end this month

Source: AP

BRISTOL, Conn. (AP) — Keith Olbermann's show on ESPN will end sometime this month.

"Olbermann" premiered in August 2013 when he returned to the network.

"Keith is a tremendous talent who has consistently done timely, entertaining and thought-provoking work since returning to ESPN," the network said in a statement Wednesday. "While the show's content was distinctive and extremely high quality, we ultimately made a business decision to move in another direction. We wish Keith nothing but the best and trust that his skill and ability will lead him to another promising endeavor."

The 56-year-old Olbermann was a "SportsCenter" anchor on ESPN from 1992-97. He went on to work for Fox Sports (1998-01) and switched to news with MSNBC (2003-11) and Current TV (2011-12) before returning to ESPN. He also was part of NBC's NFL coverage for the 2007-09 seasons.

17. I've seen clips on here of him leaking his political views from the show.

Which is a good thing in my book, but the oligarchs don't like it.

He'll let his ego run away from him yet again, and he'll get canned.

He also is a total horse's ass when it comes to quackery.

Like Oprah.

Sure he makes mistakes, but not very often.

He is a loud voice in the darkness.

Seriously, the guy is right about a lot of things on air, but seriously he gets around.

He's not mean or directly abrasive or anything, but he just doesn't let even small things go when he's "right", which isn't always conducive to a good working relationship.

We get our Keith back? I don't care if he is the biggest ass in the world, he is one hell of a news man, and they are far and few in-between.
If MSNBC was smart they would snatch him up, and quickly.
