(25,111 posts)I live in Los Angeles and feel at least 1-2 very minor earthquakes - two weeks.

(12,212 posts)because I thought it was an earthquake. I'm not a jumpy person, but that one got me for some reason.
But quakes have been in the back of my mind because of all these large ones around the world.
Maybe it's good to be mentally prepared as well as having supplies.

There's a link as well where you can see what's happening in L.A. and South California: 10 today (so far), 56 in the last 7 days, 233 in the past month.
Hate to be blasé but that's the reality. You're either prepared and lucky or your dependent on the kindness of strangers. Very little middle ground.

(27,247 posts)Around here, its intensity registered as a "Shindo 2". Some of the strongest shaking was in the areas that were hard hit by the 2011 megaquake, with the strongest being "Shindo 5-upper"
