Clinton Will Acquire Obama’s Email List
Source: Political Wire
Politico reports Hillary Clinton is expected from the start to have access to two potent collections of names, email addresses and other useful information Obamas vaunted 2012 campaign list of roughly 12 million supporters, and a separate list of about four million people gathered over the last two years by the outside group Ready for Hillary. While the legal details for the lists transfer are still being worked out, Democratic strategists say they expect both will eventually help Clinton raise money and build her team of volunteer field staffers.

(1,539 posts)The "details" is likely amount of money per valid address. I hope Hillary doesn't in turn, sell this list to her corporate sponsors.
One who went to the trouble to have her own personal server, will hopefully understand, many will not appreciate spamming them. If they wanted to be on her fund raising list, they would have joined long ago.

(94,502 posts)...and since polling shows that 69% of liberals support her, I'm guessing they won't need to filter out too many names.

(20,176 posts)Sent them an email to tell them it was because I objected to them providing their contact list to the Clinton 2016 campaign and didn't want to receive emails, phone calls or mail from Hillary Clinton's campaign or any other candidate for 2016 unless I specifically subscribed to their mailings.
You can email them too at [email protected] or via the webform here.

(46,585 posts)via a vis the letter from lawmakers signed encouraging her to run, except it wasn't an endorsement and the coveted email database is not being handed over before the primary even starts. It's just wishful thinking by a group of overzealous supporters trying to force the issue.

(2,157 posts)Fuck. We need a heated Democratic Primary if for no other reason than to push our eventual Democratic Nominee more to the left.
We need someone like Howard Dean or General Wesley Clark to run.
I can't help but think damn how could John Edwards have thrown away his entire life and a very bright political future over some skank.
I have no doubt that if he hadn't thrown his life away he would be our liberal alternative to Hillary Clinton and more than likely the Democratic Party's Nominee for President in 2016.
His story of his upbringing, his view of 'Two Americas' and his objectives of fighting poverty & income inequality would have resonated with voters across the political landscape...
What could have been...

(2,157 posts)The Candidate will be tested and ready for the Republican smear machine. The debates are also good practice for the Nominee for example when Obama debated Hillary in the 2008 Primary he absolutely kicked McCain's Ass in all 3 Presidential Debates. However in 2012 not having the luxury to practice against a real opponent President Obama's debate performance was not very good which in turn caused alot of anxiety for his supporters and gave the media red meat to say Romney Won and where is The Barack Obama of 2008?
It also is a good way to push a candidate more to the left.

consider as well, if you don't have a cattle call like the Republicans, you give more time for each candidate to talk at length.
