Romney: I’ll build Keystone pipeline even ‘if I have to do it myself’
Source: Yahoo News
Mitt Romney vowed Friday that, if elected president, he would build the controversial Keystone Pipeline linking oil deposits in Canada to refineries on the Texas gulf coast. "I will build that pipeline if I have to do it myself," Romney said during a speech before state Republican Party leaders gathered at a retreat in Arizona. Read more: http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/ticket/romney-ll-build-keystone-pipeline-even-myself-205917498.html Of course if you did, we wouldn't have to pay you any kind of a premium to use it would we Mitt?

36. Building it at all would be the wrong way...
In typical fashion, the GOP is able to twist what should be a discussion about the catastrophic environmental impact of the Tar Sands and Keystone Pipeline into a battle over jobs and gas prices. Now we see Democrats (big "D" and small), scrambling to adopt the Right's position. I guarantee Obama will do the same. Why wouldn't he? He refuses to take on the ignorance of the American public on Global Warming, so he leaves himself with few options when the woefully uninformed masses swallow the GOP lies and gleefully tighten the noose around their own neck. This has been the dynamic from day one and this "debate" about Keystone will be no different.

33. oh no, haven't you heard, the repugs say the pipeline will create thousands of jobs?
And the truly clueless think that we're actually going to be keeping that oil, instead of it being shipped onto the global market. I wonder how many livelihoods the BP oil disaster killed? And the first oil disaster for this boondoggle, I wonder how many it will harm?
The repugs think their constituency is so stupid, that you actually have people thinking if we drill more here, we're going to have more for ourselves; instead of government just gives lucrative leases to oil corporations and "our" oil is put on the global market. Now, if they talked about nationalizing the oil, that would be different. But that's soshulism, and we can't have that. And, we've gone to war for the oil cretins, to keep other countries from nationalizing their oil. |

Last edited Sat Apr 21, 2012, 06:17 AM - Edit history (1) When Mitt Romney was a little baby,
Just a sittn' on his daddy's knee, Said, "The Keystone XL on that oil shale flow Gonna be the death of me, Lord God Going to be the death of me." Well Mitt Romney said to the Captain, I'm gonna take a little trip downtown Get me a thirty pound hammer with that nine foot handle I'll beat your communism down, Lord God I'll beat your communism down. Well Mitt Romney hammered on that pipeline Till his hammer was striking fire And the very last words that I heard that fella say was No 7-Eleven cookie 'for I die, Lord God No 7-Eleven cookie 'for I die. Well they carried him down to the graveyard And they buried him in the sand And every gallon of shale a bubblin' on by It cried out, "There lies a steel drivin' man, Lord God There lies a steel drivin' man." Well there's some say he came from Mexico There's some say Michigan Well I don't give a damn where that poor fella was from You know that, he was a steel drivin' man, Lord God Mitt Romney was a steel drivin' man. as long as the corporations get what they want, they don't care which city or town they contaminate. If they contaminate your fresh water supply, they'll just get to make more money selling you water. If they contaminate your air, they can make more on selling you clean air. Why does the LORAX come to mind?
