My 'open' LTE re The Luv Guv:

Sent to al.com

An open letter to Governor Dr. Doctor Robert Bentley:

Dear Luv Guv,

I thought the probability of your initial election to the governor's office was doomed when it came out that you actually legally changed your first name to "Doctor" to try and get your title on the ballot.
I mean REALLY?

OK, then we suffered when you, a physician who presumably subscribes to the Hippocratic Oath "First do no wrong...", shut hundreds of thousands of our citizens out of medical care by not adopting the Affordable Care Act.
Why?
Because it was OBAMAcare.
I mean REALLY?

And now this.
A 73 year old God-fearing, 'family values', Baptist grandfather decides to have a mid-life crisis late in life and fixate on his "closest political advisor". Happily she is of the female persuasion, or you'd be in even deeper guano than you are now.

So...what to do?
Guv, stonewalling is NOT the answer.
You have lost any kind of authority or power or credibility you may have ever had with the citizens of Alabama.
I was born and raised here.
I've seen governors come and go since the early 1940s.
I've seen corruption (plenty of that) and scandal.
I have never seen anything that even approaches what you are doing now.

Please, for our sakes, the citizens you claim to love, step down.
It's over.
You're toast.
Just...LEAVE.

Thank you in advance?
