2. When I started doing public speaking, I sought out help in developing a voice sans most accent

at my own expense.

For the life of me, I don't understand why they don't do so with their up and coming on-screen anchors, pundits, and "personalities"...

As much as I HATE to admit it, I see more women with problem voices and inflection than men--at least on cable. Vocal frye is but one of several problems.

I'm thrilled to see more women in these roles, but they do them no favors by not addressing this. Obviously, there are quite a few males who likewise ought to be addressed in this manner.

6. Vocal fry ('Kardashian creaky voice') and uptalking are the absolute worst.

And yes, mostly female but I've run across men who uptalk. Creaky is mostly female. DRIVES.ME.NUTS!
