Attorney gives son $4 million birthday party
Monica Lopez, Corpus Christi | Published 6:53 p.m. ET Dec. 11, 2017

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Personal injury attorney Thomas J. Henry knows how to throw a party.

Just last year he spent $6 million on his daughter Maya's quinceañera. This weekend, he made sure his son's 18th birthday didn't fall short.

The party for Thomas Henry Jr. was held at Hotel Discotheque lounge in San Antonio. The event had a Gatsby-mixed-with-burlesque theme complete with showgirls, aerial performers, art installations and contortionists. Celebrity production designer Dylan Marer and his team from Hollywood produced the event, a media release from Lawlor Media Group reads...

The star of the party, who sat on a throne-like chair when he wasn't dancing, was given a fully loaded blue Ferrari, an IWC Portugieser Tourbillion watch and a custom-made painting from Alec Monopoly.

If it was me at 16 I would have been "Put the $4 million in a Goldmann Sachs account for me to invest."
Now I would blow it on art.

It just goes to all the people putting on the party, the autoworkers who made the car, the entertainers, food service people.

Obviously some of it goes from wealthy people to other wealthy people, but there's alot just going to regular folks pockets too.

This is better than the $4m just being stashed in some foreign bank account and not getting taxed.

As for the mental well being of the kid. Well thats a different story.

Teens generally don't have the judgment for driving cars like that safely.

He is everything you hate about attorneys and then some.

(Now of course #notallattorneys, but this one exemplifies the bad).

For all the money he claims to get plaintiffs, most of it actually goes to him.

I know a wealthy lawyer who threw a huge 50th Anniversary Party for him and his wife. (Peter Yarrow wrote a song for them). They've raised millions for Democratic candidates and progressive causes.
