No doubt in my mind. Stupid Dem women. I have raised money for all of them. Gillibrand, I will oppose forever. She wanted to knock him out for Pres. She cannot be 1/100th of the voice that Franken was for the Dems, and women.

This was a watershed moment, both for the Dems and the #metoo movement.
The gang that conspired to remove Franken did what we (as Dems) always do: punt.
We don't stand up for our own in deference always to political correctness - even when the PC stand shows a deeply flawed sense of morality and justice.
Social media and these pages are filled today with rage and frustration over our inability to ever truly move forward. We let the fascists win again. The Democratic party has eroded much of the hopefulness and goodwill generated by a disgusted populace under a corrupt administration. The fallout form this mess is frightening.
I have been looking for a safe landing spot since last November. It's time to renew that effort - this country is toast.

Dec 2017

I'm right there with you.

I have to make it through about a decade - if it is still a possibility, my family is out of here.

Talk about eating your own. The Democrats sacrificed Franken to use as a wedge issue in 2018..."We don't allow sexual harassment in our Party,"...like the Rethugs give a damn." They elected a moronic, serial pussy-grabbing POS for president and can't wait until that lying gun-toting pedophile joins the Senate. Please.

IMO, Leeann Tweeden was not credible in the least and conspired with Roger Stone, Bannon, et al, to set up Franken...who knows about the others. At the very least, the Ethics Committee should have allowed the investigative process play out.

This is the Dems way of playing long ball. With Conyers and Franken gone, they can attack trump and moore big time. The Dems will be able to attack the repub family values big time.

Look, I wish Franken would stay, but do you see how this will play out?

and it will not improve.

A huge number of Dems could not be more angry about their party's betrayal and railroading of Al Franken.

A huge number of Republicans are laughing all the way to their next wins. Most of them seem to see the railroad job too.

We loaded them with ammunition to shoot us with. They can have Ronald Reagan vids running around the clock - "Dems eat their own even those who did nothing wrong - but Republicans are loyal 'We never speak ill of any fellow Republican'."

I am sick with grief. It is very hard to function today. I hate them, hate, hate, hate.
I hate how they have cut us off at the fucking knees. Our party did this. Jam their fucking phones.

Rumor has it that Dayton (Dem) will appoint the Lt Governor Tina Smith (Dem). That would be a good thing.

By saying she wasn't interested in running for the Senate seat. So if she decides to run she is already compromised. I can imagine the Republican ads already.

First make sure the High Road doesn't lead off a cliff.

I'm Minnesotan, I tend towards a cold anger. I'm angry now.

We didn't just idly stand by and watch as Republicans gang-stabbed Franken a la the Ides of March, we helped carry the knives.

peace,

This is a liberal view. He admitted it. I'm sick of men getting away with harassment of women. He admitted it. He did it. To defend his behavior is deplorable. #metoo

He admitted to, and apologized for the one picture. That apology was accepted by his accuser. He has denied all of the other allegations.

shown by a lot of people here is way over the top. it definitely runs the risk of at least looking like excusing sexual harassment by "celebrities."
