This is nothing new. For the past 40 years the GOPee has flat out lied to the faces of their constituents backed up by right-wing radio and Faux Newz. We need not concern ourselves with the moral judgments coming from the 35% of the population that believes everything goes as long as the Democrat loses. They voted for Trump and always will support him no matter what. The other 65% of our country is smart enough to recognize it's not a black-and-white issue, the cases are different, Republicans have a track record of the deceit and lies and aren't falling for their b*******.

Dems always seem to find their spines when it comes to circular firing squads on their own, but to take a stand DEMANDING action against Republican hypocrisy, well a couple of news cycles and we know how that ends. But we got that moral victory!

Dems are total idiots if they remove Franken while drumpf is still in the WH. I'm already trying to convince my husband that we need to move out of the USA and get away from the looming tsunami of destruction.

A lot of people are willfully stupid, and these stupid people tend to vote Republican. You can’t be perceived as taking the moral high ground by people who are woefully deficient in morality or ethics. Who are we impressing here? Other Dems. By all means, let’s continue to shoot ourselves in the foot so we can be smugly satisfied for being better than people who revel in being utterly horrible.

Thanks for this post, OP.
