Trump distresses me. It's like everything that decent people hold dear, such as honesty, humour and integrity, has been superceded by lies, snark and scamming. Maybe it's just the times.

First Lady Michelle Obama’s presence also made racists feel the need to be blatantly and insanely hateful:
“She doesn’t look like a First Lady”
“Ape in high heels”
“She is actually a man, and she murdered Joan Rivers to cover it up.”
“She’s not classy enough.”

Yet both Michelle and Barack Obama drew upon some inner reserve to keep pounding away in the face of something so ugly that all Americans should feel some shame for the way this fine couple was contained and made smaller, for reprehensible racist, partisan reasons alone.

The Republicans did everything in their power to block, blame, discredit and distance themselves from the country’s first Africancan American president, who never once behaved in the slightest as outrageously as the fulminating, bloated, wanna-be oligarch who’s currently dismantling the country and destroying world peace... when he’s not playing golf.

Not to mention the disgusting nature of so much of their screeching.
