The crowd at the Christmas Tree Lighting...
I have seen some back-and-forth here about how large the crowd was at the Christmas Tree lighting this year.
The only photo I have seen shows many empty seats, but some suggest that that photo was taken early in the event. Since Trump is so concerned about his crowd sizes, you can be absolutely certain that he would take pains to document whether or not a large crowd showed up. He has photographers working on his staff and so does the NPS. Thus, if the crowd were truly not tiny, Trump would be tweeting out pics of the full crowd constantly. Since he is not, we can safely assume the crowd was small. That said, perhaps he is waiting to release said pics? Furthermore, Fox (State) News has already gone into damage control, with a story about how many times there are no-shows for this event.

1. Oh he'll talk about how many people were there regardless
This is the same guy who claims his inaugural was so much bigger than Obama's and how his electoral college victory was huge. Reality unfortunately doesn't enter into his understanding of the world.

2. I agree, but if he doesn't show pics then it will be clear that the crowd was small.
Since he is so invested in the crowd size, he has the highest incentive to document the "truth" with pictures. If he doesn't release pics, then that will tell us all we need to know.

3. Corroboration came in the form of DC traffic reports
Traffic was unusually light in that area last night. In years past it was very congested with people going to the event. The speculation is that people who had not planned to go left work early, took mass transit, or alternate routes, avoiding the area and leaving it clear for Tree Lighting attendees. The assumption is there were very few tree lighting attendees.
