Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe (D) is seriously considering the 2020 presidential race, The Hill reports.
Said one McAuliffe friend: Hes given me every indication that hes taking it seriously. I dont think hes 100 percent decided that this is something hes planning to do but it is something hes seriously considering.

(33,232 posts)Compared to 2016, that's "new blood".
Its going to take someone who can argue back, deploy insults and sarcasm, skewer Trump with his own words, laugh in his face. And be charming while doing it.
I don't know McAuliffe well enough to know if he can do that, but if he can, I could give a flying fuck if he's "establishment".
I want that Fascist out of office.

(108,951 posts)is the ultimate anti-establishment, a human wrecking ball, and we need a new President who knows how to run a government.

(45,428 posts)I'd consider him, but of course, it is a long way until the primaries. We have plenty of time to see how everything sorts out.
I'd request that DUer's avoid bashing potential Democratic candidates. It should be possible for everyone to promote their favorites without resorting to the tearing down of other Democratic candidates.

(10,620 posts)He's an experienced politician and a proven winner in a purplish state. I'd certainly be open to hearing whatever he had to say during a primary campaign.

(729 posts)but I don't want to vote for you. Please don't screw up our Democratic party. I want to be excited about our nominee, but I don't think... Oh hell, go for it. I can always vote for someone else in the primary.
