White House Bars One of Few Black Journalists From Attending Christmas Party

White House Bars One of Few Black Journalists From Attending Christmas Party
By Chris Riotta On 11/29/17 at 3:58 PM

The White House failed to invite a popular and combative black reporter to the annual holiday party because, the reporter said, officials in the Trump administration “don’t like me.”

April Ryan, American Urban Radio Networks Washington bureau chief, one of the few minority female journalists credentialed to attend the White House daily press briefings, said it was no mistake that she had yet to receive an invitation for the yuletide event.

“I don’t think I was overlooked,” Ryan told The Washington Post. “I think they don’t like me. For whatever reason, they have disdain for me.”

WTF? Combative because she asks uncomfortable questions and expects direct answers? The writer lost me there. And even though the lack of an invite was yet another slap in the face, at the end of the day, who wants to spend free time with a bunch of lying racists?

Slate has an impeachment meter which rates the likelihood of impeachment given the days news.

My friend and I run an informal "N word" meter. Everyday we call up each other and gauge how likely it is that Trump will simply blurt out the N word as in "Well sure but he's only a n*%%$%". We currently have it at about 72% You know its going to happen eventually.

from an avowed racist, who comes from a family of avowed racists? Like the frog and the scorpion, "it's his nature".

How many times, and how many different ways, can I express my hatred of that loathsome piece of crap? I tire of it. But I can't. I can't allow myself to act like this is the new "normal". I can never give up, and you don't know how many times I've told myself those very same words.

But that's OK. I wouldn't have gone this time, anyway.

I don't think I would have enjoyed the company as much as I did when Obama was president.
