Americans are too overstuffed and lazy. Until the Chalupas and Diet Coke runs out Americans will not revolt. They'll continue to get their news from Twitter and Facebook and say, "both parties are the same" and "we need a change." They'll continue to admire bombast and stupidity. They'll favor rhetoric over substance and words over actions. Capable people with good track records will be accused of being establishment and disregarded. Then they'll vote for Pence or Cruz or Rubio and everything will continue. The Trump admin seems no different than the Reagan administration to me.
