Another reason, other then Flynn flipping, that Trump will be gone soon...

Once the Republicans pass their tax plan they will be guaranteed massive campaign donations from the, soon to be even wealthier, 1%.

Their work will be done so they won't have to keep protecting Trump.
They will want to decimate him as quickly as possible so as to have time to recover before spending their humongous budgets to win their 2018 elections.

The rest of their agenda will simply be to insure all new laws protect the wealthy and continue to shovel more of our savings into the pockets of the obscenely rich.

A simple philosophy and a lucrative one.

I think they will be screwed regardless. The damage done will be too severe for most of them to remain in power during the 2018 races. Their constituents will vote them the hell out.

I don't think they have enough time for it to go into effect in 2018

If Unemployment is still at 4.5% or less, economic growth next year is 3%+, they’ll probably be able to make a decent case for re-election, and it’s all thanks to Obama’s economic recovery.

It’s going to take longer for tax plans to be implemented and have an effect on the economy.

If it fails (and they can only afford to lose 2?), thats the entirety of their agenda FAILED...and then it's only 6 weeks till its time to defend that failure to the voting public. And it's not like Donald is gonna start behaving himself for the sake of their majority so....

talking to my senators to vote NO. Many other constituents are doing the same, but it needs to be hard driven now. There are so many talking points, I had to make a list not to miss any. Rachel parroted most of them last night.

It's seriously desperation time.

TAXES!!

If there was ever a wet dream for Republicans it's this.
It will seem to stall until the last minute then it will pass.

Courtesy of Republican voters, he is still head of that party. And the 2018 midterms are coming up fast, and all observers say those will be all about turnout. (Except those more focused on election tampering, of course.)
